About Us

Lift Home is a family business. Not a chain, not a branch of some larger company – just our family, a showroom on Arthur Street in Thornbury, and a promise we take personally: if it helps you live safely and independently in your own home, we will find it, fit it, install it, and stand behind it.

Why we do this

Everyone in this business has a moment that made it personal – a parent who couldn’t manage the stairs anymore, a grandparent who wanted to stay in the house they raised a family in. Ours is no different. We started Lift Home because we believe the answer to “the house isn’t working anymore” should almost never be “so leave it.” A stairlift, a ramp, a walk-in shower, the right bed – most homes can be made to work again, and usually faster and more affordably than families expect.

What we believe

• Measure first, sell second. Every quote starts with your home and how you actually live in it – which is why assessments are free and always will be.
• Honest advice, even when it is the cheaper answer. If a grab bar solves it, we will not sell you a renovation. If renting beats buying, we will say so.
• We stand behind what we sell. The people who quote your equipment are the people who install it and the people who answer the phone when it needs service – our own team, not subcontractors.
• Your home is your home. We work clean, we explain everything, and we leave you confident – not just equipped.

Trained and authorized on what matters

We are an authorized Savaria dealer with factory-trained installers – stairlifts, through-floor home lifts and platform lifts are weekly work for us, not occasional jobs. The same goes for the wheelchairs, beds and equipment we carry: we choose manufacturers we can service properly, and we say no to the ones we can’t.

What we do

• Lifts – straight and curved stairlifts, through-floor home lifts, wheelchair platform lifts, ceiling and floor patient lifts, and pool lifts.
• Ramps and entrances – modular, threshold and portable ramps, including the Canadian-made QRAMP system.
• Bathrooms – Quick Tub walk-through bath conversions, made in Canada and installed in about two hours.
• Home medical equipment – mobility scooters, wheelchairs and seating, walkers, lift recliners, hospital beds, pressure care mattresses and daily-living aids.
• Local service – free in-home assessments, delivery and installation, repairs, rentals, and help navigating funding programs like ADP.
