Lift Home is a family-owned home accessibility equipment store at 59 Arthur St W, Thornbury, Ontario. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use lifthome.ca, what we do with it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect only what we need to answer your questions and prepare your quotes, we never sell your information, and no payments happen on this website.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you send a quote request or contact message, we receive what you type: your name, phone number, email address, town, your message, and the products you asked about. That’s it — the website has no accounts, no passwords, and takes no payment details.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics tools that record which pages are visited, the type of device and browser used, and an approximate location based on your internet address. These tools use cookies — small files stored by your browser.

Your quote list. Products you add to the quote list are stored only in your own browser until you choose to send them to us. If you never hit send, that list never leaves your device.

How we use it

To call or email you back about your quote or question — that’s the main one.
To arrange assessments, deliveries, installations and service you’ve asked for.
To understand which pages and products people find useful, so we can improve the site.
To measure whether our advertising works, so we spend our ad budget sensibly.

The tools we use

We’re a small local business, so we use a handful of well-known services to run the site, and each one sees only what it needs:

Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager — anonymous-style visit statistics (pages viewed, time on site). Google sets cookies for this.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising tools — we use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API to measure our ads. When you submit a form, a scrambled (hashed) version of your email or phone number may be sent to Meta so it can tell whether our ads led to genuine inquiries; if you later become a customer, we may report that a sale occurred and its value, again using only scrambled identifiers. Meta cannot read the scrambled values as text; they can only be matched against accounts Meta already has.
Formspree — the service that delivers your form submissions to our email inbox.
Zoho CRM — where we keep track of customer inquiries so we don’t lose your file between the first call and the installation. Our Zoho data is stored in a Canadian data centre.
WP Engine and Cloudflare — the companies that host the website and route its traffic, which necessarily involves processing visitor internet addresses.

What we never do

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. Full stop.
We don’t process payments online — pricing conversations happen with a real person, by phone or in the showroom.
We don’t collect health records. We’re an equipment retailer, not a healthcare provider — if you tell us something about your needs so we can recommend the right product, it stays between us and is used only for that purpose.
This site isn’t directed at children and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

Cookies: every browser lets you block or clear cookies in its settings. The site works fine without them — only our statistics suffer.
Google: Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Analytics measurement, and ad settings at your Google account.
Meta: you can control how Meta uses data about you in your Facebook or Instagram “Ad preferences” settings.
Your information: you can ask us at any time what we have on file about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call 519 904 4932 or use the contact page — a real person answers.

How long we keep things

We keep customer records for as long as we’re serving you — which for equipment we install and service can be years — plus whatever bookkeeping law requires. If you ask us to delete your file and we’re not legally required to keep part of it, we will.
