Get started
Contact us early. Funding approvals take time, so the sooner we talk, the sooner you're equipped. A five-minute call to 519 904 4932 usually identifies which programs apply to you.
Review equipment options. Try equipment at our Thornbury showroom or during a free in-home assessment — and if a program requires a therapist's prescription, we'll connect you with an ADP-authorized therapist.
Access funding
Match the program to you. Coverage differs by program, age, income and situation — we map your case against everything below so nothing gets missed.
Apply. Your therapist handles the clinical side where required; we complete the vendor side of every application and submit it.
Track it to approval. We monitor every application we submit and keep you posted.
Get your equipment
Place the order. Once funding is approved, we order and prepare your equipment.
Get the fit just right. Our own team delivers, installs and adjusts everything to you — and we service it locally for as long as you own it.
What funding programs are available?
Assistive Devices Program (ADP)
Ontario's core program for long-term mobility equipment — wheelchairs, power chairs, scooters and walking aids — typically covering a substantial portion of the approved price when prescribed through an ADP-authorized therapist.
Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
ODSP recipients can get help with mobility devices and with the client portion of ADP-funded equipment. If you receive ODSP, tell us — it changes the math.
Ontario Works
Can cover the client share of an ADP-approved device for eligible recipients, and may assist with assessment costs.
Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD)
Helps lower- and moderate-income families with the extra costs of caring for a child with a severe disability, including wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)
Covers assistive equipment that helps veterans live independently — including items provincial programs don't fund, such as stairlifts. We invoice VAC directly where applicable.
Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB)
Medical equipment and supply coverage for eligible First Nations and Inuit clients, prescribed by a health professional and supplied through an eligible provider.
Jordan's Principle
Ensures First Nations children can access the products and supports they need, including mobility aids, ramps and assessments.
Home Accessibility Tax Credit
A non-refundable federal tax credit for renovations that make a home safer and more accessible — stairlifts, ramps and walk-in bathing conversions commonly qualify.
WSIB
If your equipment need traces to a workplace injury or illness, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board can fund equipment and home modifications as part of your claim.
Extended health insurance
Many employer and private plans cover part of the cost of mobility equipment. We provide the quotes and paperwork your insurer asks for.
March of Dimes Canada — HVMP
The Home & Vehicle Modification Program assists adults with physical disabilities who need renovations for functional independence — one of the few programs that helps with ramps, lifts and bathroom conversions.
Easter Seals
Equipment funding and programs for children and youth with physical disabilities, delivered through provincial chapters including Ontario.
ALS Canada — Equipment Program
Loans and funds essential assistive equipment for people living with ALS.
MS Canada — Quality of Life Program
Grants that help people living with multiple sclerosis purchase mobility and safety equipment.
Muscular Dystrophy Canada
Equipment funding support for people affected by neuromuscular disorders.
Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy
Assistive device funding that helps OFCP members access life-changing equipment.
Spinal Cord Injury Ontario
Navigation support plus financial help through its equipment and independence programming.
